Pakistan Security Officials Report Shooting Down of 5 Indian Fighter Jets, Including French-Made Rafales

According to Pakistani security sources, the news about five Indian Air Force jets and one drone were shot down during India’s attack.

The sources stated in a briefing to the media that three French-made Rafale jets, one MiG-29, and one SU-30 fighter jet were downed “in self-defense.” Additionally, an Indian Heron drone was also shot down.

A second high-ranking Pakistani government official confirmed the same details regarding the downed aircraft.

The briefing did not specify the exact location or circumstances surrounding the incidents.

Earlier, Pakistani officials had reported that they had downed three aircraft and a drone.

CNN has been unable to independently verify these claims and has reached out to the Indian government for a response.
