The Seventh Seal (12/15)

The Seventh Seal is a traditional historic fantasy movie and is taken into consideration one of the best films of all time. Written and directed by Ingmar Bergman, the tale of the movie proceeds like The Lord of The Rings, however on a chessboard, and the antagonist is none apart from the personification of death. It tells of the adventure of a medieval knight who lived at some point of the black demise, and is compelled to play a recreation of chess with death who has come to take his life. Much of the film’s imagery is derived from medieval art, and subsequently there are glimpses of existential crisis at some point of the story of the movie, some thing that resonates with Lord of the Rings characters like Aragorn and Frodo.
