Whilst work auto-saving to the cloud now seems like a standard for similar programs these days, it’s worth remembering how Google contributed to that by making it one of the main selling points of Google Docs. Whereas accidentally failing to save a piece of work was once a big concern when writing documents, Docs took the matter out of the user’s hands.
Of course, for users who had developed a paranoia about losing work and learned to automatically save every so often, the change to an auto-saving system like Docs uses could take some getting used to.
