The “Dog Days” singer addressed her alcohol dependancy on Munroe Bergdorf’s The Way We Are podcast, calling sobriety “the satisfactory element I ever did.”

“It took me a long time to come back to phrases with the truth that I had a hassle with ingesting because I turned into one of those drinkers where [it was all or nothing],” she stated. “If I experience my drinking, I can not manage it and if I control my ingesting, I don’t enjoy it. That changed into a real take-heed call for me.”

Welch got sober in 2012, pronouncing: “I was like, ‘This must be contained. This cannot leak out into the public sphere.'”
